I have recently been made aware of land in the Darkes Forest area that may be suitable for the proposal of building a go kart track. This land is owned by the 'Water board', but is not used for any specific purpose. As it is part of a non -residential area, and is basically waste land, there maybe a possibility of acquiring or using some of the land from the water board for the purpose of building a track. May have to be a small rental on the land per annum, but do others believe this may be an agenda to pursue? Neville, the development of Darkes Forest is limited by the fact that it is a catchment area. It wouldn't hurt to ask, but I doubt it will be allowed. At one stage the Water Board were talking about closing all the properties down as the owners passed away but that hasn't happened. Mind you I would be ecstatic if it were to be made a track as I live 5 minutes away.

So everyone knows, Goulburn will not be running it's final rounds this year. Instead the club will use the time to organise rounds for 2008.

No, there is no reason for the club to stop operating, but a large change to the club's plans for the year meant changes had to be made. Because we have had problems notifying members and finding alternative race meetings, and Mark hasn't had time to sit down and organise the rest of the meetings, we are going to wait and do a much better job next year, with prizes up for offer.

Hi Guys, In response to future races being cancelled for the time being, I was present at the AGM and I thought that we were going to do a mail out to advise members of the current situation and that the website and forum were the primary means of communication these days? I understand that we have all been busy and I was there and put my hand up to help out from time to time. It is now time to help. If you can provide me with a list of the current paid up financial members I shall do a mailout to them advising them that the website / forum is now our primary means of communication. Hopefully if these people are made aware of this, it may at least make them feel that they are part of a great club that Goulburn is and we still need their input and custom to survive.

Hey are,
You are best to contact Mark for the member list, as he's the only one who has it. We discussed that all members, and people who were members in the last 3 years will receive a letter. Mark has been busy and I'm sure that letter will come soon. His details are on the website if you want to contact him directly, and I'm sure he'd appreciate your help.

I vote we hold a meeting at a central place and ensure everyone is notified this time. Picton kart track has a meeting room and is available at a nominal price.
